Our First Brew! Our Official Label!
Our first Cup O Joe :). Brewed in our very ancient Mr. Coffee machine, we enjoyed our first cup of Yaya Coffee on Sunday Dec. 7th. I must say, for me not being a total coffee nut, I really loved it! Great tasting coffee, and the difference in freshness was amazing! SO...I suppose I will be drinking coffee.
Mason enjoying his first cup of Yaya Coffee! Our blend #1, still needs a name.

Giving Back to the Countries Where the Beans Came From!
Our hearts have always been to give a portion of every sale back to third world countries, where the beans came from. It's been what the Lord has put on our hearts all along. We are setting up an account for Yaya Coffee, and with each sale that portion will go into Yaya's account. When it reaches a certain amount we will give back. The way we do it may change, depending on how we send the money to ministries in other countries etc., we are still looking into the best way to send money. Either way, for every lb. of Yaya Coffee purchased, you can be confident it will go to help others!
What we have learned is that for any fair trade coffee we buy a portion also goes back to the country in which we purchased the beans from. Fair trade aims to help producers in developing countries and promote sustainability, so whether you purchase fair trade, or any of our coffee's that are not, rest assured someone will be blessed!

Pictures were obtained via the web, and are not people we know or are working with. However, children like these will be blessed through our Yaya Ministry!

Welcome to Yaya Coffee's Blog!
Be the first to see what God is doing through Yaya Coffee. This family owned and operated business had a desire to try something new. To venture out and roast some coffee! The idea of creating some of our own fabulous blends was only the bug that created some excitement in something the Lord had planned to make even bigger!
We started with a desire to roast and earn a little extra money with Eric out of work, but turned into something we never imagined! As the Lord connected us to a young man (Eyasu) doing ministry in Ethiopia through a dear friend, we soon had a desire to use a percentage of our sales to help out ministries there and in other third world countries.
We began to pray that if the Lord desired for us to do this business He would provide the exact amount we would need to purchase the roaster, because we did NOT have the money. On November 25th we were handed an envelope from someone who did not know what we were praying for, nor did they know our need. The envelope contained the exact amout we were quoted for the roaster. I ran upstairs, got my notebook, and shared the entire story with them. They asked what the price of the roaster was, and when I showed them the note where I wrote all the info. down, they got teary-eyed. The biggest part of this business taking off was the Lord giving us His blessing, and He did.
We chose the name "Yaya Coffee" because it is Eyasu's nickname, and it just fit. We also thought it would be the kind of name that would beg the question, "Why Yaya Coffee?" Open door to share our story! Open door to share the Lord!
For every pound we sell, a portion goes back to help others in need. Won't you be a part of the excitement as this baby business takes flight?
Stay in touch via our blog or facebook page to find out when and where our open house's will be. This is where you will be able to give your feedback, suggestions, and sample some of the blends produced by our family, Yaya Coffee!
God bless, and enjoy the ride...The Yaya Team
Always looking for Yawesome blends!
